Welcome to Glamping in Suffolk in our Ensuite Shepherds Hut

CURRENT COVID STATUS - Easing of lockdown means that we are now open to receive guests as our shepherds hut is self-contained. Please refer to the COVID section at the top of our Terms and Conditions page for further information on COVID related cancellations and refunds.

Our Ensuite Shepherds Hut offers self catering glamping holidays and short breaks from March to December.

  • Our location close to the Suffolk Heritage Coast and surrounded by the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is ideal for exploring the Bawdsey peninsula, Woodbridge and surrounding areas.
  • Our property lies between the villages of Hollesley, Alderton and Shottisham. The coast at Shingle Street and the river Deben estuary at Bawdsey are a short drive away.
  • A variety of habitats from seashore to rivers, grazing marsh, salt-marsh, heath, pine forest and deciduous woodland host a wealth of wildlife to seek out and observe, with good access for cars, cycling and many pubic footpaths for those wishing to explore on foot.
  • Should you wish to venture further afield in Suffolk and elsewhere, the main A12 road at Melton is only eight miles from our door. The railway station at Melton provides hourly southbound services to Ipswich, where it connects with main line, cross country services and northbound services to Lowestoft.

The Shepherds Hut stands in a dedicated area of our mature one acre garden, having it's own access gate off the front garden of the property. Off road parking is provided on our driveway.

We are open from March to December inclusive and offer Weekend, Mid-Week and Weekly breaks for guests to enjoy a glamping experience in a private setting with ensuite facilities.

Minimum stay 2 nights.

Start your Weekend break for 2 nights on Friday or Saturday or for 3 nights starting on Friday. Mid-Week breaks for 3 nights can start on Monday or Tuesday. Weekly breaks start on Friday

Sorry no pets, children or babies. Smoking is not permitted in the Hut or in the garden.
